What is Select Soccer all about?

Select (or Division III) soccer is for the experienced and dedicated players and parents who are willing to commit extra time to practice and a much longer season (32 or more games vs. 10 games for Recreation team schedule). This includes traveling to play games in an expanded league area, as well as traveling to weekend tournaments throughout Northern California. Practices begin in June and weekend tournament play begins in August. This mean you will need to plan your vacations accordingly to avoid having your player missing tournaments in August.

Thanks to all the U10, U12 and U14 Boys and Girls who attend tryouts. We hope everyone had a great time.

We still have U16 and U19 tryouts coming up.

U16 Girls will be April 10 and 11, April 17 and 18 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at Palisades school.

U19 Girls tryouts are as follows:

• Thursday April 8 and 15 from 5:30 - 7:30 at Orangevale Park
• Saturday April 17 from 4 - 6 at Palisades
• Sunday April 18 from 2 - 4 at Palisades

Please arrive approximately 20 to 30 minutes early to check in on the first day. Players must wear cleats and shin guards. It is recommended that players also bring a full water bottle. Players are encouraged to attend as many tryouts as possible in order for the evaluators to have an opportunity to watch them play.

OYSC does not have select teams for U16 and U19 boys. IF you want to play is these ages groups please contact the Select Coach Coordinator.
