The Orangevale Youth Soccer Club is sponsoring a referee refresher course Thursday evening September 4th at 6:00pm at Orangevale Park in the newer shaded picnic area. (Corner of Filbert and Oak).
This in-service will be led by a referee Instructor and attended by several experienced refs from the area. It will primarily be a question and answer format with a few subjects to be used as talking points. You can ask questions about Laws of the Game that you're not sure of or bring examples of situations you seen on the field and would like to know the best way to call them. These always generate some great dialog around real life situations.
For information regarding the Orangevale Youth Soccer Club's policy regarding risk management practices that are utilized to identify potential predators, please contact the California Youth Soccer Association directly at 925-426-5437.
Orangevale Soccer will not respond to email messages that intend to draw the Club into any discussions regarding risk management procedures and processes that are founded on ill-informed opinions.

Based on recent communication from the general membership of the Orangevale Youth Soccer Club (OYSC, Club), survey results, and the need to become more consistent with the other clubs in the American River Youth Soccer League, the Board of Directors of the Club has worked diligently over the past several months to develop a new referee policy. With the initiation of this new referee policy, the OYSC Board of Directors feels that it is important to remember that adult and youth participation is the foundation of our referee program. These activities enrich our members and community.
